Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know to get started and use StockIntel with confidence.
How do I open a new PSX trading account through StockIntel?
You can open a new PSX trading account directly inside StockIntel without visiting a broker office or printing any paperwork. Pick a partner broker from the list — Munir Khanani Securities, Chase Securities, Yasir Mahmood Securities, or Zahid Latif Khan Securities — upload the documents and e-sign the broker's account-opening forms inside the app. The entire flow takes under 10 minutes, and your broker activates the account within 2–4 business days after NCCPL and CDC verification completes. Once active, the account connects to StockIntel automatically — no separate setup step.
How do I fund my trading account from inside StockIntel?
Funding is fully digital, and StockIntel offers two convenient transfer methods: RAAST and IBFT. You can fund multiple broker accounts independently or route new capital to whichever broker you're trading through that day.
Here is how to use each method (note: always send transfers from a Pakistani bank account in your own name):
Here is how to use each method (note: always send transfers from a Pakistani bank account in your own name):
- RAAST (Instant Deposit): Go to your Trading dashboard or the StockIntel app and select the RAAST option. Copy your unique RAAST IBAN and make the transfer. The funds will reflect instantly in your trading account's buying power.
- IBFT (Standard Transfer): From the dashboard, choose from the list of available broker bank accounts. Send the funds via IBFT, upload a screenshot of your transfer receipt, and the funds will be deposited into your account.
How does the multi-broker order routing actually work?
You connect multiple PSX-licensed broker accounts to StockIntel once, then choose which broker to route each order through at the moment you place it. The order ticket includes a broker selector — switch from Munir Khanani Securities to Chase Securities to Yasir Mahmood Securities to Zahid Latif Khan Securities with a dropdown, and the order executes through that broker's official API. You can keep separate positions with different brokers, or use the same broker across all your trades. The choice is per-order, not per-account.
Why would I want to trade through multiple brokers at the same time?
Different brokers offer different strengths — commission structures, research, custodial preferences, IPO allocations, and product access vary across PSX firms. Splitting trading activity across brokers lets you optimize each trade for cost or access, diversify counterparty exposure, and avoid lock-in to a single brokerage's terms. StockIntel makes this practical for the first time by giving you one interface, one consolidated portfolio, and one watchlist across every broker you're connected to — so the multi-broker setup adds no operational overhead.
What order types does StockIntel support?
The full set of PSX order types is available across every connected broker:
- Market orders — Execute immediately at the best available price
- Limit orders — Set a maximum buy or minimum sell price
- Stop loss orders — Automatically exit a position when a trigger price is hit
- Off-Hour Orders (OHO) — Queue orders to execute when the market opens
How deep is the Level 2 order book on StockIntel?
StockIntel displays the full PSX order book — every visible bid and ask price level, with quantities at each level — in real time. The Market-by-Price (MBP) view aggregates orders by price, letting you spot bid/ask walls and liquidity gaps before placing an order. Updates are tick-by-tick, streamed directly from the PSX market data feed.
Can I build custom watchlists to monitor specific stocks?
Yes. You can create multiple watchlists — organized by sector, strategy, conviction level, or any custom grouping — and add any PSX-listed scrip to them. Each watchlist shows live prices, daily change, volume, and your custom columns at a glance. Watchlists sync across web and mobile, so the list you build on desktop is the same one waiting on your phone the next morning. Manage your watchlists from the Watchlist page or the mobile app.
What does the consolidated portfolio view actually show?
The portfolio view aggregates everything across every broker you've connected:
- Holdings — All your CDC sub-account positions, regardless of which broker introduced them
- Live P&L — Unrealized gains and losses across the consolidated portfolio, updating in real time
- Per-broker breakdown — See how each broker account is performing individually
- Cash balances — Settled cash and purchasing power across all brokers, in one number
How does StockIntel handle real-time alerts?
You can set price alerts, volume alerts, and corporate-action alerts on any PSX-listed security. Alerts trigger in real time and are delivered via in-app notifications, push notifications on the mobile app, and email. Alerts persist across devices — set one on the web platform during analysis, and it'll fire on your phone when the trigger hits.
How fast does an order placed on StockIntel reach the exchange?
Orders are routed directly to your broker's official trading API the moment you submit them — there's no intermediate queue, no batching, no manual review. From the broker's API, orders flow straight to the PSX order matching engine on the same path a native broker app uses. In practice, the StockIntel terminal adds no measurable latency compared to placing the order through your broker's app directly.
Will StockIntel work for high-frequency or algorithmic trading?
For automated strategies, StockIntel offers a dedicated algorithmic trading API — separate from the manual trading interface but using the same broker connections and the same data feed. Strategies can stream live market ticks, place and cancel orders programmatically, and read portfolio state, all over WebSocket. See the API & Algorithmic Trading page for documentation and code samples.
Is StockIntel safe to use, and how much does it cost?
StockIntel is non-custodial — your funds stay with your SECP-licensed broker and your shares stay in your CDC sub-account. Order routing uses TLS 1.3 encryption and official broker APIs. Pricing follows a 30-day free trial, after which the platform unlocks free for as long as your partner-broker account remains active, or via a monthly subscription if you prefer to use your existing broker.
